under Riccardo Chailly at the Leipzig
Opernhaus, he became a refined interpreter of italian repertoire and he started
an intense and exciting career that brought him to some of the most prestigious
theaters and festivals such as: Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Zurich Opernhaus,
Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Wiener Staatsoper,
Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence,
Teatro Municipal in Santiago de Chile, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia in
Valencia, Teatro Regio in Turin, Arena di Verona, Teatro Regio in Parma, Opéra
Bastille in Paris and Festival Pucciniano in Torre del Lago. Mr. Pisapia lately
performed Poliuto
in Marseille,
La Bohème
in Hamburg, Las Palmas and Venice,
La Traviata
in Lecce,
Macbeth
at the Teatro Filarmonico in
Verona, Rigoletto
in Palermo,
Madama Butterfly
in Minorca,
Tosca
in Atlanta.
Active also
on the concert side he recently sang Dvorak's
Stabat Mater
in Trieste, a lyric concert at the
Teatro Regio in Turin, a recital at the Suntury Hall in Tokyo, and Verdi’s
Requiemin Moscow, St. Gallen
and Hamburg. Mr. Pisapia recently performed the Aids Gala Concert in Berlin
